These hearts were made as part of the "Have A Heart" campaign in 2019, as a call to action. They show how many Indigenous people feel distanced from their true hearts and emotions due to the solid impacts of the Indian act and other colonial policies.
These earrings are made on size 11/0 Czech seed beads, and are backed with commercial hide scraps.

Reminder: handmade art- especially beadwork- is delicate, so please be gentle with it! To keep your new piece safe, try to either hang or lay flat when storing. Avoid tugging on beads/strands, getting wet, exposing to chemicals (ie: lotion, makeup, soap) or direct sunlight. Pets may try to damage items made with quills, dentalium, or hide- please keep beadwork safely out of reach of your furry, feathered, or scaled friends!
