I've been playing around with different shades, types, and concepts of orange a bit lately, trying to process my feelings about the upcoming stat holiday.
I have such mixed feelings- why are we celebrating someone who perpetuated such pain and suffering across the world? Why is everyone "mourning" as if they knew this person personally? Why is this whole thing overshadowing our efforts to have our communities recognized?
It's not sitting right with me that i hate a person I never met so strongly, and yet I can't bring myself to change that opinion. Why does old lizzie get everything, when we get nothing? Her crown sparkles with lies. And the commonwealth eats it up. Now the collection of blood jewels passes, as does the mantle, but will anything change? Probably not. This whole thing sucks.
So these pairs sparkle with pain too- the pain of our forgotten stolen children.

Avoid tugging on beads/strands, getting wet, exposing to chemicals (ie: lotion, makeup, soap) or direct sunlight. Pets may try to damage items made with quills, dentalium, or hide- please keep beadwork safely out of reach of your furry, feathered, or scaled friends!
