This shiny ice duo is inspired by the snowstorm last Thursday - I was supposed to run a drum bag workshop that had to be rescheduled due to the weather conditions, so I had a day free.
There is such a beauty that can be found in the way that the sun gleams off of the fresh snow- especially if there's a light ice coating on top of it! The light glitters in so many directions, being almost blinding in the right conditions.
This idea was my first time using silk delicas (made alongside one other piece that I just need the recipient to get before I post it!), and the way that the beads glitter feel like they perfectly encapsulate this idea. There was a bit of a thread-snapping learning curve, but I feel like it was definitely worth it!

Reminder: handmade art- especially beadwork- is delicate, so please be gentle with it! To keep your new piece safe, try to either hang or lay flat when storing. Avoid tugging on beads/strands, getting wet, exposing to chemicals (ie: lotion, makeup, soap) or direct sunlight. Pets may try to damage items made with quills, dentalium, or hide- please keep beadwork safely out of reach of your furry, feathered, or scaled friends!
